Re-opening message

The Marshall County School District hopes that everyone has had a great Thanksgiving Break and we would like to remind you that we will resume normal school activities on Monday, November 30, 2020.  We ask that if you or your child have come in contact with someone that has the Covid-19 virus that you please quarantine and contact the school so we can get information to you so that school services can continue.   Symptoms may not be present for a few days after exposure and our hope is we all work together to try and continue school services and reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  -- Roy Lawson Superintendent of Education Marshall County Schools

IMPORTANT MESSAGE Re: 2nd Nine Weeks

Greetings. We would like to inform all parents and students that the Marshall County School District will be moving to a 4 day week for all of our students beginning on October 19, 2020. We will no longer offer Cohort A and Cohort B, but all students attending for 4 days with Wednesday being a distant learning day for all students in Marshall County. Students can still participate in virtual learning IF the parent and student fills out the new parent agreement for virtual learning. ANY student that will move to or continue on as a virtual student MUST fill out a new form for the second nine weeks. This form may be picked up at any of our schools or found on the front page of the Marshall County School District webpage. The major change to the parent agreement is that if the virtual student has a failing grade at the end of any grading period including progress reports that virtual instruction will end and the student will return to face to face instruction unless the student has a note from a doctor excluding the student from face to face instruction. The deadline for the parent agreement is October 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Any student that has not turned in an agreement at that point will be expected to be a face to face learner and will remain that way until the end of the second nine weeks grading period.
